"I was not anticipating moving for 5 years from my home in Florida. My daughter in the twin cities saw an article in the local paper about an open house at Calvary in Golden Valley. She stated it even included a workshop. The idea of having full ownership in our unit was very intriguing. Several amenities, including the workshop, an underground heated garage and car wash and maintenance free-living were very appealing. Having a secure building and staff on duty 24 hours a day not just office hours. We have a great neighborhood too! I just took a 5 mile bike ride this morning. After moving in I have acquired a large circle of close friends through the many social events including Men's Morning Coffee and Friday Happy Hour. It is so nice to have friends in our age group and with some of the same interests... I know we have a wonderful support system. I consider the residents here as Family." — Wally H.
"I shopped for several years at different senior housing… and Calvary always remained on top of list. The Calvary staff and all personnel are #1 on my list …. They do everything first class and to your satisfaction. Before I moved here I was worried with what to do with all “the Stuff”: The staff at Calvary assisted me with important information about choosing a Realtor, having an Estate sale and also helped with providing information about a transition moving company. After all was said and done I moved in without lifting a finger, all the boxes were unpacked, furniture arranged and artwork hung. This was all timely done before I went down to enjoy a great chef prepared meal in the cooperatives dining room. Well done on a great job Calvary staff! Not one detail was overlooked." — Barb S.
"Each of the countless cooperatives in the metro area has its own personality. This is based on location, architectural design, membership and purchasing arrangements….. Here we enjoy the privacy of our own home. When we step out our door we mingle with a host of friendly and supportive neighbors in beautifully furnished common spaces. The desire for physical activity can be met with local facilities such as two golf courses located in walking distance, walking trails and tennis courts right down the road. The building site consists of a gorgeous courtyard, mature trees, shrubs, and skyline patio with a tremendous view of downtown Minneapolis. This is such a fun place that I am planning to invite my tennis club friends to next week's wine tasting seminar! Very Impressed Thank you Calvary!"

"Calvary Center Cooperative has met my expectations of why we moved here. Living is easy and we can be as social as I want to be. There are many opportunities to meet and interface with other residents. Many events sponsored and put on by residents instill a neighborhood environment within the same building….. The common areas, including the greenhouse and party rooms eliminate the need to have them as part of your home. When my family comes to visit we make good use of the guestrooms with great overnight hotel like accommodations. Finally, it's great in the winter time to enter the elevator and go into a warm, non-frosted-up car. The Calvary management here is top-notch." — Jim & Marlys |
